Support Groups

HAND (Helping After Neonatal Death)

We joined a HAND support group and it was really helpful to talk with other families who have experienced loss. They also do peer support and education for healthcare providers.

Star Legacy Foundation

Star legacy provides a support line that you can call, peer support and support groups. You can write your story or send in a video to be used to raise awareness. You can also memorialize your child and add them to their "Stars Stories". They do research into prevention methods and education for medical professionals. There are also opportunities to volunteer with their organization.

Tied Together Forever

Tied Together Forever serves the Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles Counties by providing bereavement boxes for hospitals. Their website provides resources for families and providers and everything is in English and Spanish.

A Christian nonprofit with an online support group, a newsletter and events. They also do education for healthcare providers.

Another organization that offers support groups. They have a lot of chapters in California.

Advocacy and Education

Star Legacy Foundation

Pretty cool organization similar to Star Legacy but located in England and Wales. Their "Pregnancy Hub" has a symptom checker section to help determine which symptoms pose risk. They also offer help and support for miscarriage and stillbirth.

March of Dimes

They have great information on grief support and how to support someone going through pregnancy loss. They also advocate for more equitable pregnancy care which is super cool.
